About Me

My photo
RPS77
A former history major, RPS77 left the academic world after realizing that he was too immature and scatterbrained to pursue a PhD. He then used the history he had learned to ... work for 6 1/2 years processing and checking financial transactions for an insurance company. After being laid off, he went back to school and got a degree in library science and archival studies. He now works at cataloging 19th century documents at a major archival institution, which means that he finally has a job that is actually related to what he studied. In person, RPS77 is usually quiet, shy, awkward, and almost invisible in social situations. Writing online is a chance to be a little more open and outspoken than he would be otherwise. RPS's spare time activities include reading about almost any type of history, trying to force himself to exercise and eat better in spite of a lifetime of being a lazy junk-food eater, and struggling against Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which never completely goes away.
